“People are loving it. Thank you again for making this excellent film available to us. It is helping us get volunteers more enthused and aware of the difference they can — and must — make!”
Buncombe County Democratic Party, North Carolina
“In ruby red rural Virginia, we had a midweek evening, packed-house screening of Democracy Under Siege at our local library. Audience response was 100% positive: "Such a valuable film" "Every high school student should see this!" "So much critical history in such a short time." "I loved being able to talk with Director Laura Nix [by Zoom]." To expand our reach, our local Indivisible group and Democratic Committee co-sponsored the evening.”
Shenandoah County Democrats / ShenCo Indivisible, Virginia
"Our screening of the film "Democracy Under Siege” brought together hundreds of people from across the country to learn about the crises in American democracy - and connect these to current events and the need for people to take action. The panel discussion anchored by Director Laura Nix was stimulating and inspired our community to further engage in activism! The first event was so popular that we held a second screening. As leader of a civic organization, having the opportunity to screen the powerful film to bring people together - and follow with a panel discussion was a very effective combination that engaged our members and brought new people to our activist community. We are very grateful to have hosted these events and the recordings of the panel discussion continue to be resources after the event."
It was excellent. Everyone got a lot out of it and there was a great discussion after. Such a good film!
